How to make homemade buffalo chicken dip
Making this dip is a breeze with the help of an Instant Pot. All you need are just a few simple ingredients, and you’re good to go!
To assemble a creamy buffalo chicken dip, you will need:
- Cream cheese and sour cream for creaminess and tanginess.
- Frank’s Red Hot Sauce for that classic buffalo flavor.
- Shredded cheddar cheese to give it that ooey gooey texture.
- A couple of dashes of ranch dressing to add another layer of flavor (who doesn’t love ranch with buffalo chicken?!?)
- For some added flavor and texture, top your dip with sliced green onions and bleu cheese crumbles.
Tip: Simply add all these ingredients, along with some cooked and shredded chicken breast, to your Instant Pot and let it do the work. The end result? A deliciously creamy and flavorful dip that will be devoured by all!
I don’t want my buffalo dip to be too spicy. What do I do?
If you’re not a fan of spicy food, don’t worry! You can easily adjust the heat level in this recipe. Simply use less Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and replace it with more ranch dressing or sour cream. This will help balance out the spice and give your dip a milder flavor.
Can I use canned chicken?
Sure! I personally prefer using freshly cooked and shredded chicken for this recipe, but if you’re short on time, canned chicken can work just as well. Just make sure to drain the excess liquid from the can before adding it to your Instant Pot.
Variations of this keto buffalo chicken dip
If you want to mix things up, here are a few ways you can change up this dip recipe:

- Looking for a dairy-free option? Substitute the cream cheese and cheddar cheese with their vegan counterparts. You can also use coconut cream instead of sour cream.
- Want to make this dip more hearty? Add some cooked and crumbled bacon or diced bell peppers for extra texture and flavor.
